Private Pyrrhus Woodward Harding enlisted in Hidalgo, IL and served out the entire war. He and first cousin George Harding wereengaged in digging Gen. Grant's big ditch opposite Vicksburg. He is buried in the city cemetery in Mexico, Missouri.
