This is a self-autographed Carte de Visite (cdv) photo in period ink of a Civil War Illinois surgeon - 2nd Lieutenant Lucian b. Brown, Surgeon of the 113th Illinois Infantry. He was from Sheldon, Iroquois County. He was mustered in October 1, 1862 and mustered out June 20, 1865. The photographer's backmark is Oak Gallery, J. W. Taft, Memphis, TN. |
